Singer/ Guitarist Ray Parker Jr and Host Ron Brewington on ActorsE Chat

Ray Parker Jr. is originally from Detroit, Michigan. He is most famous for theme song of the blockbuster movie Ghostbusters. He started playing the clarinet at a young age and switched to the guitar when he was 12 years old.  This process helped him develop his love for music. He notes that he was never signed by Motown but had great love for Motown Records and hoped to get discovered.  Ray is a graduate of Northwestern Highschool in 1972. Then he was involved in the Love Unlimited Orchestra with Barry White in the mid-1970s. Later in 1977, he formed the group Raydio.

On ActorsE Chat Ray talks about his path to musical greatness and how he broke into the industry. He remembers when he first heard his song on the radio and also discusses upcoming projects.

In March of 2014, he was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a recording artist.
