Katy Haber is a producer who began her entertainment career in England. Katy is known for her work alongside director Sam Peckinpah with whom she produced 8 films including Billy the Kid, Straw Dogs and Pat Garrett. Katy also produced the Academy Award winning film Deer Hunter.

Katy produced the film Blade Runner (1981) with Sir Ridley Scott and Michael Deeley. Katy’s production career includes numerous documentaries and continues to develop content for several television and film productions.

Since 1990 Katy has been a board member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Los Angeles (BAFTA LA) and is a founding member.

Katy is very involved in community work and community outreach. Katy is an activist and advocate for homeless youth and gang prevention. Katy was the Executive Director of a transitional housing community for the homeless, Justiceville/Homeless USA’s Dome Village transitional housing community for the homeless, from 1993 to 2006. Katy then became the Executive Director of Spirit of Youth in 2007, which is a non-profit student exchange program between the US and the UK ( Katy was also active in working with a gang prevention program as the Executive Director of CURE from 2006 to 2008 which establishes relationships with the Los Angeles Police Department, the Sheriff’s Department, and Los Angeles Probation Department.
