Actor Producer Writer Kim Delgado and Actress Host Pepper Jay on ActorsE Chat

Kim Delgado is an actor, writer and producer originally from Brooklyn, New York. Kim began his acting career in at the PAF-Playhouse in Long Island New York at the young age of thirteen. At sixteen, Kim became an equity member. Kim then went on touring with Trinity Sq. Repertory’s award-winning play “Brother to Dragons” and also filmed the PBS special of the play (1975) which was directed by Adrian Hall.

Kim went on to college and obtained his BFA degree and graduated cum laude from the Leonard Davis Center in New York City. Following graduation, he starred in Boardwalk (1978) with Lee Strasberg. Kim continued working within the entertainment industry until he moved into his passion for writing in 1994.

As Kim moved from acting into writing and he worked as a script consultant and story editor for Barry Perleman Enterprises. As he gained knowledge of the literary side of the business, he sharpened his commercial writing skills and began working in advertising and for various production companies. 

Kim has written over one-hundred television and radio commercials in addition to writing for corporate advertising and commercial print advertising. Kim now works as a freelance writer and also continues his freelance work with Dobson Media Works. Kim is currently working on many screenplays and his co-written screenplay for the Lifetime TV movie “Taken in Broad Daylight” which has earned the 3rd highest all-time rating on the Lifetime Movie Network.

Of all the various television and feature films that Kim has appeared in, he is well known for his work in “Kindergarten Cop”, “Patriot Games”, “Good Burger” and “Arizona Seaside”. Kim has starred, co-starred, and guest starred in well over two hundred television shows some of which include: Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Ally McBeal, Crossing Jordan, NYPD Blue, Friends, CSI, Charmed, ER, Family Law, and Brothers and Sisters just to name a few. Kim has also been active in daytime television and appeared in many soap operas.
Kim’s theatre performances are also vast and his resume includes plays such as: A Mid Summers Night’s Dream, A Lovely Place For A Picnic, and Hunting Cock Roaches.
