Eric Shapiro is an American writer, director, producer, filmmaker, screenwriter, author, and ghostwriter. Eric is most recently known for his newest completed feature film released in 2014 titled “Living Things”, which has been endorsed by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Eric’s first feature film “Rule of Three” (2010) which he directed and produced, won the Best Actor Award at the Fantasia International Film Festival and Best Acting Performance at Shriekfest. As a result, it was released to DVD, Xbox, iTunes and Netflix Instant.
Eric is also an author and has written many books including “Short of a Picnic” (2002), “Stories for the End of the World” (2010), “The Devoted” (2012), and “Love and Zombies” (2013). Eric’s 2005 book “It’s Only Temporary” landed on the Preliminary Nominee Ballot for the Bram Stoker Award in Long Fiction. Eric has penned other short stories which have been published in fiction anthologies with works by Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, and Chuck Palahniuk among others.
