Kurt Kelly spoke with Dean Goss's class at Palomar College in San Diego virtually on, 4/29/2015 at 7pm PST. Goss is an adjunct professor at Palomar college and teaches Acting, Voice Over, and Production to interested students who want to work in the entertainment business. Palomar stays on the cutting edge of technology offering students the chance to participate face to face or virtually.
This class was streamed live with Google +, so that students would be able to speak face to face with Kurt about his craft. Questions ranged from, how to set up a studio, whether to go union or non-union, and whether to use pay for play sites. Kurt shared his experience of over 30 years with the students and addressed their queries. The class was recorded so Goss's students may have it as reference.
Dean Goss was born in San Diego, California and started on radio at K.G.B. Goss had a much different approach than most D.J.s. taking a more upbeat human interest approach to the show he hosted. Dean focused on trivia, stories, and things listeners would remember. This unconventional approach landed Goss a position in Los Angeles with K-Earth, where Dean spent five years entertaining listeners all over L.A. San Francisco, was not far behind where Goss became known for his star-studded interviews with celebrities like Tom Hanks and Kelly Clarkson.
Dean has also co-hosted many famous game shows such as "Win Loose or Draw," and "100,000 Dollar Pyramid" opposite the legendary Dick Clark. Returning to his roots, Goss is back in San Diego teaching as an adjunct professor and inspiring a new generation of students.
