Actress Sally Kirkland

Veteran actress Sally Kirkland is well-known for her
feisty personality, voluptuous figure, sparkling blue eyes, and platinum blonde
hair. As the daughter of a fashion editor at Vogue and LIFE magazine, Sally was
born and grew up in New York. Sally originally started her career off-Broadway
and trained under the famed Lee Strasberg. Sally also had the opportunity to
work with Andy Warhol in 1964.
Sally has been active in the theater, on television and
in film since 1960s. Sally is a Best Actress Oscar nominee for her role in the
film Anna. For this role, Sally also
won the Best Actress Golden Globe, the Independent Spirit Award, and the LA
Film Critic’s Circle Award.
Sally has been in over one hundred and twenty films. Her
portfolio includes work on the films: The
Way We Were, Revenge, JFK, ED TV, Coming Apart, Cold Fee, Bruce Almighty,
and Coffee Date. Sally’s most recent
film Archeology of a Woman has recently premiered at the World-Fest Houston
International Film Festival in April 2012. Sally was also nominated by the
Hollywood Foreign Press for Best Actress in a TV movie for her role in The Haunted – A True Story.
Sally’s other television credits include recurring roles
on The Simple Life and Head Case, and a guest starring role on Criminal Minds. Sally also had recurring
roles on Felicity and Wasteland.
Sally’s other loves are painting and poetry. Sally is
also an ordained minister and a renowned acting coach.
