 LOS ANGELES (Jan. 5, 2010) Actor® recipient Sandra Bullock, who is nominated this year for her leading role in "The Blind Side," will present Screen Actors Guild’s Life Achievement Award to Betty White at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®, Executive Producer Jeff Margolis announced today.
The 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, the only industry accolades devoted solely to actors honoring actors, will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, 7 p.m. CT, 6 p.m. MT, from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. An encore presentation will air on TNT at 11 p.m. (ET/PT).  (Viewers watching via satellite or in HD should check local listings.) 
Preceding the SAG Awards® ceremony will be the premier “TNT and PEOPLE Magazine Present the SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS® RED CARPET SHOW” at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), 6:30 p.m. (CT) and 5:30 p.m. (MT) and the annual tnt.tv and tbs.com Red Carpet Webcast at 6:30 p.m. (ET), 5:30 p.m (CT), 4:30 p.m. (MT) and 3:30 p.m. (PT).
Screen Actors Guild is honoring White for her career achievement and humanitarian accomplishments.  Past recipients of SAG’s Life Achievement Award include James Earl Jones, Charles Durning, Julie Andrews, Shirley Temple Black, James Garner, Karl Malden, Clint Eastwood, Edward Asner, Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, Sidney Poitier, Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor, Angela Lansbury, Robert Redford and George Burns among others. White and Bullock worked together when White played Ryan Reynold’s scene-stealing Grandma Annie in Bullock’s chart-topping romantic comedy “The Proposal.” With a storied and extensive career in television and film that spans nearly six decades, White is a living legend who continues to inspire others with her work as an actor, author, producer and philanthropist, and her lifelong devotion to the welfare of animals. This past year, White voiced the elderly Yoshie in Oscar-winner Hayao Miyazaki’s animated adventure “Ponyo,” made her farewell appearance on the daytime drama “The Bold & the Beautiful,” and made a cameo appearance as herself on “30 Rock.” White will next be seen in the Disney feature “You Again,” starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and Kristin Chenowith.
Bullock currently can be seen in the smash hit “The Blind Side.”  She was honored with a Screen Actors Guild Award® in 2006 as a member of the cast of “Crash.”  Some of Bullock’s most memorable films include blockbusters such as “While You Were Sleeping,”Miss Congeniality,” “Speed” and “Two Weeks Notice.”
