Actors Reporter spent its first year at AFI and was privileged to be a part of the premiere of "We Gotta Get Out of This Place" which premiered at the Austin Film Festival and was then was shown again at the American Film Market. Actors Reporter is a co production between Pepper Jay Productions and Live Video Inc.  Actors Reporter interviewed Zeke and Simon Hawkins, a brother team originally from Connecticut that has directed and produced many shorts together.  This was their first full feature film together, with the positive response however, they will be considering many more.

It is the story of three Texas teens hope to make a break for it and escape their dead-end existence in a cotton-mill town but get sucked into the seedy underbelly of organized crime when one of them steals from the wrong man.  It was received with rave reviews and is the first of many projects to come for the team.  They spoke with Kurt about the film, AFI, their future, and thoughts on piracy.  Check out the full interview here.
