ActorsE Chat is having a special flashback to Actors Reporter's coverage of AFI 2013.  The show will be broadcast on Watch Here: at 10 am PST.  This was the first year that Actor Reporter has covered the American Film Market but it will certainly not be the last.  Kurt Kelly and his crew were able to interview and meet some truly amazing people as well as cover some of the premieres which all of Hollywood wished to be in on the action.

The American Film Institute was a part of the legacy of the mandate from the Rose Garden of Lyndon B Johnson.  He created it to establish a national arts organization which would then preserve and protect the work of the American film heritage.  He also wanted to help educate the coming generations as well as to honor all of the classic great American film makers who were a part of the tradition at that time.  In addition to that later AFI was then supported by the NEA as well as the Motion Picture Association of America and the Ford Foundation.
The Board of Trustees was made up of many of the greatest minds in Hollywood and included people like Gregpry Peck, Sidney Poitier and Francis Ford Coppola.  There were many other amazing heads who were also a part of the trustee board.
The Institute then established right away a training program which was for film makers and was known right away as the Center for Advanced Film Studies.
AFI continues to be the world's largest film preservation society which functions as a non profit in the entire world.  They have been in their current Hollywood location since 1981 and have been holding an annual festival since 1973 in which they display all of their best films and honor alumnus who have continued to be an invaluable asset to many of the rising talent in the market.
Kurt was onsite with all of the excitement and was able to interview some of the best minds and most aspiring actors, producers, and directors while at AFI.  Kurt caught up with the CEO of Sony, Alex Shapiro and was able to talk to him about all of his impressions of the event as well as all of the exciting events that Sony had coming up in the near future.
Kurt also was able to sit down and interview Simon and Zeke Hawkins, two brothers who are both producers and directors and were having the official premiere of their new movie, We Gotta Get Outta This Place, at AFI.  Both of the brothers were ecstatic to speak with Kurt about what it was like to have a movie unveiled at AFI as well as their experience in making the film.

Kurt also spoke to the beautiful actress Andrea Wahlgren who is also a producer and director as well as Patrick Froehlich, who is known for his excellent writing, producing, and directing skills.  They were very excited to speak with Kurt about their experiences at AFI as well as upcoming projects.

Check out the amazing show live on Monday December 9, 2013 at 12 pm PST. Kurt Kelly will be your host, he is the "Voice of Experience" with over 30 years inside the industry and a background in broadcast, media, producing, and directing, he is a stellar interviewer.  His technique always leaves you wanting more and on the edge of your seat.
