 Kurt Kelly Sits Down With Singer, Producer, and Phenomenon Bernard Fowler Kurt Kelly, "The Voice of Experience" sat down recently with Bernard Fowler on Actors E Chat, and discussed everything from touring with the Rolling Stones to song writing. Bernard grew up listening to all kinds of music, everything from funk, salsa, jazz and blues. Tapped at an early age with no professional experience, he became the lead singer of a band and continued to stretch his experience performing with famous and talented groups over the years. In 1985 when the Rolling Stones were looking for back up singers, it was Bernard Fowler's voice which attracted the attention of Mick Jagger and made him take notice of his range and stamina. Bernard has a voice which can be loud and thunderous or low and sweet, all depending on the song he is singing. That initial connection formed a relationship which would last for many years and would lead Bernard to produce and write with each of the Stones on their solo projects. Bernard has also collaborated with many famous other artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, and Robert Plant. Since Bernard recorded his first solo album in 2006, artists have been lining up to be a part of his production and have been very excited to have a chance to work with him. He has just started planning an international tour on the tail end of his domestic tour. Bernard continues to be one of the most sought after singers and producers out there. He has many interesting stories of the road, growing up in New York, and collaborating with some giants in the industry.
