Join Variety and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation for the 2011 TV Summit on Feb.15 at the Renaissance Hotel in Los Angeles. As people move to watch TV whenever and wherever they want – through smartphones, tablets, computers, and other new media platforms – traditional advertising revenue models and career opportunities are disrupted. The TV Summit will identify ways to continue to produce quality content and generate income through these new media platforms.
From the very birth of television through to today, AFTRA programs have been an indelible part of the evolving landscape of television. As this uniquely American medium has grown and changed, AFTRA members have played an important role in both delighting audiences with generations of excellent entertainment programming and in providing the public with high quality news and information critical to shaping our understanding of the world. AFTRA is pleased, therefore, to provide our members with a discount to this exciting and informative event which examines how TV will continue to evolve in the 21st century.
Your support of the 2011 TV Summit will benefit the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation's wide range of educational activities. Established in 1959 as the charitable arm of the Television Academy, the Television Academy Foundation is behind such programs as the Archive of American Television, Student Internship Program, College Television Awards, Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship, and the TV Faculty Seminar.
