Live Video, Inc Founder, Kurt Kelly will once again be a speaker in Professor Fletcher Beasley's Promo Pathway Program class at Santa Monica College. Promo Pathway is a one-year preditor training program produced in partnership between PromaxBDA and Santa Monica College. Kelly has spoke previous with students of this program aspiring to be in television and has lended his voice acting to students in the program for job and intern submission; as well as entries in to prior SMC- Promax competitions.

The program focusing on a creative career in Television, will have Kurt Kelly this Tuesday June 2, at 6:30 pm. Kurt will be speaking about effective TV promo trailers, voice over artistry and marketing and positioning in today's technology. "Once an artist has 'broken in' however, staying relevant through technology updates, and viral marketing is critical to make sure an artist keeps their presence in the eye of potential clients", according to Professor Fletcher Beasley. Kurt Kelly is the Signature Voice for Sony Entertainment Television, Sony PIX, and numerous Fortune 100 name brands globally.

Professor, Fletcher Beasley is a Los Angeles-based composer who writes music for film, television, commercials, video games, and interactive exhibits. His first album of cinematic electronic music, Fictional Radio, is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, YouTube, Amazon and other music streaming service.

Fletcher Beasley is a Los Angeles based accomplished muscian, composer and adjunct professor. Beasley has been instructing students in music production and composition since 2002. Currently Fletcher teaches music production at Santa Monica College and a course for UCLA's Film Scoring Extension Program. He has also taught at UC San Diego, Chapman University and the Los Angeles Film School. He is a board member for the Society of Composers and Lyricists, one of the oldest and most prestigious organizations for media producers and composers in the U.S.

Fletcher is is known for his work in film, television, commercials, video games and interactive exhibits. He has just released his first solo album called Fictional Radio which is available on iTunes, Spotify and many other streaming services.

Promo Pathway is a one-year preditor training program produced in partnership between PromaxBDA and Santa Monica College. Combining the academic training with industry preparation, the partners work together to build the next generation of writer/producer/editors for the entertainment marketing industry

In partnership with Santa Monica College, Promo Pathway is the first accredited on-air promotions training program in the United States. The program immerses emerging talent in our industry through an exciting hands-on curriculum. Students graduate with a comprehensive understanding of entertainment marketing and promotion and the essential skills needed to launch their careers as preditors, writers, producers and editors.

Interactive courses include a combination of writing, editing, production and design and are taught by leading industry professionals. Students receive intensive 12-month training and have opportunities to gain real-world experience through internships at networks, agencies and studios. Promo Pathway allows the students build their networks through one-on-one creative coaching and professional development workshops.

Anchored in diversity and inclusion, Promo Pathway connects PromaxBDA members with ambitious talent, ready to join the workforce. Promo Pathway changes the narrative from “I fell into this career” to “I chose this career.”

Each students creates five :30 promos that cover several television genres: Drama, Comedy, topical, sports, news, kids and reality. These promos developed by students will then be pitched Network and Entertainment Industry Executives for internships and employment.
