Wren T. Brown will be sitting down with host Kurt Kelly to discuss his career as a producer and director, as well as his work as an actor on prominent shows like, The Simpsons, and Star Trek the next generation.
Wren’s family hails from Los Angeles and he has been a native for 4 generations.
His family also has a theatrical background and has been a part of the stage for many years. He has been inside of the industry for around 30 years and has been a part of some of Hollywood’s largest productions. Some of his appearances include the following: Waiting To Exhale, Heart & Souls, Under Siege II, The Dinner, Hollywood Shuffle, Biker Boyz, The Importance of Being Earnest, Midnight Clear and David Mamet's Edmond. Wren has also worked in television and has been a part of Whoopi, as well as Flipper, and Bless this House. He has also had pats in many others such as: The West Wing, The Practice, Touched By An Angel, Frasier, Seinfeld, Charmed, and Star Trek: Voyager and as Professor Wilkins on Half & Half. Wren has stared in Hallmark movies as well with John Laroquette and has been in many different kinds of appearances. Some of his most recent appearances are Eli Stone, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Women's Murder Club, Everybody Hates Chris, The Game, Grey's Anatomy (recurring), and as the voice of Virgil Simpson, on The Simpsons. He has also been on the stage and has been a part of As You Like it, On Borrowed Time and many others. He has also been selected in the past to recite poems for poets like Langston Hughes and many others. He has a great narration voice as well which has landed him narration roles in places like The History Channel, Battleground Freedom, and The Learning Channel.
Wren is a classically trained actor as well and owns the Ebony Repertory Theater which is the first African American owned company in Los Angeles. He has also worked on numerous ballets as well as other plays. He is the producer of many different fields and talents.
